A SPLENDID SITUATION

The bastione is an historical buildind of 1300, adjacent to the nature reserve of Subasio.

Around the structure there is a secular olive-yard.

The position of the country-house is panoramic on umbrian valley and it is near to the historical centre of Spello. Infact the distance of the structure from Spello is 1,5 Km .

Around our property there are many paths, that tourists can travel by feet, or by bicycle, or by horse.

A path, long about 5/6 km, arrive to Assisi, and it has wonderfull panoramic scenery. So tourists can see one of the most beatifull nature reserve and they can live sensation of an old lost time.

However the better way to visit Umbria is by car. Infact Spello is in the centre of the region and its position is strategic for the tourists.

The most beautifull and important towns of Umbria are far few kilometres of freeway. The Bastione is distant as soon as 3,5 km from the freeway.

Agriturismo il Bastione is adeguate to satisfy the different exigence of tourists, that want visit Umbria.

AN OLD HISTORY

The structure was building in 1300, on demand of Baglioni noble family.

Baglioni used this house as shooting residence, and maybe they choosed this position because it is very near to the wood.

Il Bastione has an architecture simple and regular, with large walls of stones.

At first floor the windows are small and they have a embrasure form.

On the countrary, the gate is very big and maybe it was used by the storm-troop to exit on horse back.

The second floor was the noble flat of Baglioni and it was devided in two big rooms: one the dining room and the other the bed room.

Around the windows and the doors there are stone frame that evidence the importance of the flat.

The ceilings are extraordinary vaults of stone and old bricks

The building was a military refuge during the second world war.

A SMART QUALITY

Agriturismo il Bastione has six bed rooms, every one with private bath room.

One of these is the suite, called “nobiliare”; it’s a noble bed room, original of the middle age. Tourists, that want choise this elegant bed room, can live a great experience. Infact every particular is inserted with attention to maintain the beauty and the feature of the place. In other, the panoramic view is wonderfull. Every bed rooms has TV and refrigeretor.

The restaurant is in a magnificient room of stones, with a big and old fire-place.

Any table and many fornitures are ancients and every structural feature is original of the middle-age.

In the agriturismo il Bastione there is also a dancing room and a wonderfull panoramic portico.
