The list includes a summer festival in Rome which begins on June 14, flower festivals in a few different cities, a couple medieval events in Tuscany and the “Festival of Two Worlds” in Spoleto. Italy Magazine occasionally lists the various special art exhibitions which are going on throughout Italy, and they’ve put up another installment. Most visitors who travel in Italy will see the same art galleries and museums as everyone else; for a change of pace, if you’re a serious art enthusiast or you’ve been to the Uffizi already, why not try something different? There are special exhibits all over the country, so it’s just a matter of finding the ones that interest you and cross paths with your plans. Event in June Every small village throughout Italy celebrates with its own wonderful festival where all the locals attend. Tourists and visitors are always warmly welcomed to these events. During the harvest festivals the villagers tend to celebrate with their local produce, such as polenta and prosciutto, and especially wine. The rest of the events are more likely to be historical re-enactments linked to costumed cavalcades and jousting, processions, ceremonial races and competitions, elaborate costumes, singing and dancing.
