It’s 1975 and the Bisceglia family is looking for a place to spend the weekend away from Rome: the place they need must be able to both wear off the stress resulting from the citylife and to give them some nourishment for body and mind. They are Pasquale, the head of the family, who has been working in the tourism sector for years, his German wife Karin, who loves Rome but misses the green peacefulness of her country of origin, and his 3 sons Alessandro, Ester and Silvia, who are just looking for a nice place to run and to play in. Thanks to a school project about the world of the caves Pasquale decides to visit the famous Grotte di Pastena (the Caves of Pastena) with his sons. Astonished at their beauty they set up touring the surrounding area: walking in the woods and picking up berries they arrive at a clearing with an ancient abandoned dwelling and a charming landscape: the view of the small town of Pastena, that from here looks like a Christmas sight, green all over and around, birds chirping and a sweet refreshing breeze that here has a special sound of its own. In this moment Pasquale resolves to turn the old ruin, owned by the marquis “Casali La Rocca” since 1878, into La Voce Del Vento (The Voice Of The Wind). Slowly and painstakingly the whole family helps in the restructuring of this dwelling located in Contrada Casali, named after the old illustrious landlord; the beauty achieved nowadays is the result of this family’s love for nature, traditions and countrylife.
The owners of La Voce Del Vento:
Pasquale and Karin both speak several languages and have matured a cult for hospitality during many years of experience in the tourism and hotel sectors.
